Pluto TV has been crashing every time I try the app today. It acts like it’s opening, but then goes back to the Roku Home Screen. I have an Onn. Roku TV and a Roku Express 4k + and Pluto is doing this on both devices. I have updated both Rokus, the Pluto TV channel itself, deleted and reinstalled the channel, reset my internet connection (internet is just fine) and did a factory reset on. I’ve performed all of these steps on both devices, but PlutoTV still doesn’t work. PlutoTV says there are not outages. What could I possibly do to resolve this issue?
Thanks for the posts regarding channel playback on Pluto TV.
It looks like there may have been a service interruption yesterday that seems to be resolved now. We would recommend checking to see if you are still experiencing an issue with playing content on Pluto TV at this time.
Please keep us posted what you find out and we'll be happy to assist you further if you are still experiencing an issue.
Thanks,
Danny

After removing a channel, best practice is to restart your Roku to clear its memory cache before reinstalling the channel. Without the restart you may not get a clean reinstall.
Depending on your Roku model and Roku version number you'll find the System restart option under either Settings > System > Power or under Settings > System.
Thank you for replying. The steps you listed are the ones I’ve been using when removing and reinstalling the channel, but it continues to do the same thing. I’m not having any issues with the Pluto TV app on my tablet or phone, but it still isn’t working on both of my Roku products.
Brand new out of the box TCL 65R655 TV with Roku 11.5.0 Build 4317
Installed a few apps and all work fine EXCEPT PlutoTV
When I launch it - the PlutoTV Logo displays then it kicks me out and goes back to the TV Home Screen.
I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and I still have the same issue.
Any suggestions?

As a first step, we recommend making sure to restart your Roku device after removing the channel and before adding the channel back to ensure the process is successful.
Next, we suggest getting the latest Pluto TV channel version by checking for a channel update using your * button on the channel tile or going to Settings for a System Update there. Then, restart your player.

I'm having the same issue since yesterday and tried all those steps as well without success. Did you ever solve the problem?
Hi @Tyg
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Can you please provide us with more specific information about the issue you are experiencing? Do you encounter any error messages? Are all the other streaming channels operating normally? How long has the issue existed and what troubleshooting done to resolve the issue?
With detailed information, we will be able to assist you better.
Warm Regards,
Lianna
I ended up deleting Pluto TV from both of my devices because nothing I could think of worked and what few suggestions I did receive, didn’t resolve anything. Around 3 weeks later, for the heck of it, I added it back onto my Roku TV and it worked just fine. The same with my Roku Express 4K+. Since, knock on wood, I’ve not had any issues. I know it isn’t the fix you’re searching for, but maybe a last resort. Good luck
Yesterday, the Pluto TV app stopped working on all of our Roku TVs and devices. We’ve followed all the steps mentioned in old posts, including re-setting the TVs and devices, clearing cache, and removing and re-adding the Pluto app. SW / firmware on TVs, devices and app are up to date. Pluto working without issue on household IOS tablet and personal laptop. What’s the next step?
Hi @JKCH
Welcome to the Roku Community!
To ensure the process of removing and re-adding the Pluto TV channel is successful, make sure to restart your device before adding the channel back in. from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > System restart > Restart. However, if it still has no dice and the issue is only with the channel alone, this is a good indication that there is likely an issue within that specific channel that will need to be addressed with an update from the channel publisher. Channels on Roku are created and maintained by each channel publisher. In this case, you'll want to reach out to Pluto TV support directly to share your feedback.
Warm Regards,
Lianna
