So does the rokutv os not support the xbox cloud app or any web browser? Its rather frustrating finding any information on this topic. I'm considering just returning the new smart tv i just bought just because of how crippled the roku OS seems to be.

As far as I am aware, browsers are not currently supported on Roku.
Those things are unlikely to ever be supported, so if they're important to you, you may want to return it while you can or find a device that you can connect to it that does support them.
I don't see any matches for "xbox" in the channel store, and searching for threads, I see maybe one thread that references such a thing, so I can see where it would be frustrating to find info. Keep in mind that pretty much every app on Roku (besides the ones that include "Roku" in the name) are created by the content companies (Paramount, NBC, Warner etc.) so if you want an Xbox app for Roku, it would be a good idea to let Microsoft know.
I wouldn't think of a Roku and a Roku remote being much of a gaming platform, so maybe that's what MS is thinking too.
Hello
Roku OS does not currently support the Xbox Cloud Gaming app or a web browser, limiting its compatibility with gaming platforms. This has been a common frustration for users looking for versatile functionality. For a more gaming-friendly experience, you might explore devices like Chromecast with Google TV or Amazon Fire TV. Evaluate your usage needs to decide if a return is the right choice.
One issue devices tend to have is that they try to do too much and be too many things. Maybe it will eventually be added, but I personally like a device that does streaming of movies/TV shows/music and various networks and does it well versus trying to be a jack of all trades that give a mixed experience.
