For the past few days we have not been getting sound when watching any channel on our Roku device. This includes over the air via PLEX or HD Home Run, Netflix, Apple TV, the Roku channel, etc - every channel or app that we tried. I could not find any setting to address this and the software appears to be up to date. Over the air channels work fine when the TV input is directly to the antenna, so I know its not a setting on the TV, although I looked there too.
Sound is now working. Here are the steps the worked:
@MDeBonis What Roku device are you using? Try going into settings on the Roku device. Choose audio, streaming output and digital output should be set to auto or stereo and not Dolby since your TV likely can not process Dolby.
I have a roku Ultra and it worked fine until a few days ago. I'll have to check the settings you mentioned tomorrow. Thx.

Both were already set to auto. Will look at RokuNimfa-C’s recommendations next.

My sound was working fine earlier today. Now I have no sound on anything. I went to settings, then audio, and my only choices from there are Menu Volume (set on medium) and Audio Preferred language (set on English). Do you have another suggestion?

@JCR1, you should have "Streaming audio format" and "Digital output format" under the Audio settings unless perhaps you have a Roku TV and not a Roku device connected to a TV. Try unplugging the power for several seconds and then plug it back in.
