Apps not showing on the homescreen

Jump to solution

Hi, not sure if right place as first time on and can’t see anything resembling my Roku problem so apologies if in wrong place.
anyway

my Disney Plus app has disappeared, when searching and selecting it says open with no download option so it must be hidden somewhere.
Device is up to date and have reset a few times but don’t know what’s happened to it

any help would be appreciated Thanks

downloaded app not showing up on Home Screen

Jump to solution

I have downloaded a new app and it is not showing on Home Screen list.  The only way to find it is in the search bar and to open it from there.  This is going on with my Roku ultra and a new TLC tv purchased in 2024. What is the solution?

See the following post for ways to remove the app:

Once it's removed, add it again from the device itself (not the website).

Also I can not find any place to uninstall the app via computer, tv or Roku box. On computer Roku.com I can see that app is installed but nowhere to uninstall it. I do know how to uninstall apps that do show up on Home Screen.

Finally success.  The only way I got access to delete the app was to download Roku app to apple device and then search for the app.  Then press * to remove.  Then reinstall by entering email and password for app. Scanning qr did not work properly.
