We were just watching a PG rated movie when and advertisement for an HIV medicine popped up, my 8-year-old son covered his eyes.  They used the word "sex" and showed two men kissing in the add.  Please appropriate your commercials based on TV show/movie rating!!!!

I must agree inappropriate commercials should not be shown. I don’t care if I’m watching a G rated to a PG-13 rated Program I do not want to see inappropriate commercials. You can say well what is the word inappropriate really mean. It means “unsuitable”. Why should I be subjected to lude, immoral and disgusting behavior When watching TV. Roku was supposed to be a safe app. If I Chose a rated R movie then I would expect it to have Adult contents,  But I’m not choosing rated R programs. Commercials should be clean and neutral. Why is Roku Subjecting Viewers to unhealthy and Immoral behavior?  I was watching the movie “returned to me” which is rated PG, All of a sudden, MGM+ commercial came on showing a disgusting display of ménage à trois. Stop the insanity and clean up the commercials. Thank you

I don't understand what was "inappropriate".  If a commercial comes on and the display of affection shows heterosexual people no one complains about that. 

I'm grateful that we have come a long way in accepting people who are "immorial", but it's comments like yours that do not promote diversity and inclusion. 

I'm sickened to see comments like yours.  What exactly is "inappropriate"?  Did you bully people in school who thought differently than you?

In the meantime, we suggest the following steps provided below to manage your ad preferences and hide the inappropriate and sensitive ones.

1. Press Home on your Roku remote
2. Scroll and select Settings
3. Select Privacy
4. Select Advertising
5. Select Sensitive ad content
6. Select one or more sensitive ad categories
7. Press OK

Checking a sensitive ad category means you are restricting the types of ads Roku will be able to show on your Home Screen and screensaver. Your ad preferences are immediately saved and will be applied to all streaming devices connected to your Roku account.

Everyone is different.  My family has been raised in church.  I am so sick of seeing commercials about same sex relationships and sex.  Or worse.  I do not under any circumstances want to see that on tv.  Ever.  Unless I actually choose to do so.  What people do behind closed doors is their business.  Do not throw it in my face.  My children have been raised better than that and know that it absolutely goes against nature.  Everybody I know thinks it’s disgusting.  It should not be shoved down our throats and in our face every single time we turn on the tv.  “We” have not come a long way.  “We” have gone disgustingly in the wrong direction.  Again. I do not want to see that on a commercial when watching tv and shouldn’t have to. Period.

Inappropriate means that it was inappropriate to the viewer! DUH! I do not want to see same sex anything, bisexual anything, HIV anything!  I should not hav to watch anything that I personally don’t want to watch just because everything is accepted nowadays. I am so tired of having same sex **bleep** shoved in my face just because nobody wants to be offended.  Get Over It.  Everybody has been raised differently.  I wasn’t raised like that and my family definitely wasn’t.  I do not want it thrown in my face constantly just because it’s acceptable in some places! Not Cool At All!

That’s not being a bully and you should consult a dictionary if you think it is.  I don’t want to see heterosexual sex all the time either but your comment is way off base.  You obviously have no clue what you’re talking about and must live in an extremely liberal democratic state. Good luck with that.

I'm watching children cartoons  and I keep getting your political agenda.  I don't need see commercials about kamala and all this b.s. don't need even see political stuff in general it's children programs.  My 2 yr old doesn't give a flying you know what that your a kamala supporter. Keep all that to adult programs or not at all.
