Removing apps permanently from home screen

Jump to solution

Hello. I cancelled and removed 2 apps I subscribed to. Shudder and Hallmark+. I can go through the removal steps from the home screen and they get removed. However, when I turn my Roku on they are back on the home screen like I never removed them. How do I get them removed permanently?

Hi, @Mabel1066

Greetings, and welcome to the Roku Community.

We appreciate you letting us know about the issue you have encountered with apps on your Roku device reappearing even if they were successfully removed.

To resolve the issue, kindly remove the apps once again. After performing this, kindly perform a system restart. Please refer to the instructions below:

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll and select Settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
  5. Select System restart.

Once this has been performed, kindly check to see if the issue persists.
