You need to get a Fire TV device for that, you can side load adult apps and also it has a web browser so you can go on porn sites. Roku doesn't have either. The lack of a web browser on Roku is really a big drawback and there is no excuse for Roku not having one.

Roku used to have a beta-testing system that allowed you to add channels with a code. It ended being abused by adult stuff and piracy sites. Roku replaced it with a proper beta-testing system with limited users and time. That put an end to it.

Roku has never had any real web browser, and probably never will. It's not based on Android or iOS like most of the others. It was built from scratch based on Linux to be a streaming device. Using a browser with the basic remote is almost impossible (I have tried on a Fire TV). The other devices will support keyboards and mice due to their Android base. Roku does not.

About the only way to watch naughty stuff on a Roku would be to cast from another device.

I completely disagree, it is not 'impossible' at all. It might be slower but you can still browse websites and click on videos and other things, a great way to watch adult content on your TV. Pairing a keyboard or mouse is easier but it is by no means a necessity.

That's about right, in my opinion the best choice is to use Plex or Emby. You can download adult videos and photos (or any other type of media files) to your computer hard drive which acts as the "server" and then stream those files all to your TV through your Roku using the Plex or Emby apps. That works extremely well, but of course being able to browse the web with a Roku web browser would take things up a notch.

But I doubt Roku will ever take the time to do something like that, they are more interested in creating useless annoying updates which add things to the Home Screen which everybody hates rather than creating actual useful features people would want.

I agree with @Emissary35 . I have a browser built into my Samsung TV. I tried it a couple of times and it's pretty much useless for actual web browsing. Without a keyboard it's extremely frustrating to enter a web address. Additionally, the browsers built into devices like a TV are not full featured browsers and often simply won't display a modern web site correctly. 

I am in agreement that the best (most reasonable) way to watch web based content is to screen-mirror and/or cast the screen from a different device.

There used to be a web browser but it was removed from the channel store. It was called Web. The terms and conditions now disallow a web browser for some reason.

Considering how bad the user experience is using a browser with a basic remote like a Roku, I can understand them not wanting to have to field the complaints about how poorly it would work. My Samsung TV has a browser and a simple remote like the Roku, and using the web browser is simply painful. There's no other word for it.

Actually You are incorrect. There are plenty of adult channels on the roku. You just have to know what to type in the loop. Second a roku can be hacked easily. If you know what you're doing, you put it in your computer and you go inside and change the actual programming. It's not hard to date if you know what you're doing and you can watch lots of adult naughty stuff. There's channels on there adult t. V.  There's a bunch just typing an adult or type in erotic and you'll get a list of everything

@BipolarGirl48 not in the US channel store there isn't. Searching for "adult" returns four channels, none of which contain what most would consider "adult" content. They simply have the word adult in the name, such as Adult Swim. Search for erotic and there are no results.

And no, there's no known way to "hack" a Roku device. When I searched the web for something, the sites were all only offering screen mirroring. That's not hacking the device. In fact, most sites admit the Roku itself cannot be hacked. 

No, there is no "adult/porn" available on Roku devices.
