Channel selection Menu scrolls uncontrollable, skips over the channel to be selected!!! System acting goofy!
The problem was the Roku remote that came with the Ultra package. I replaced the remote with the new rechargeable remote, and that seems to have resolved the problem.

In the meantime, please perform a system restart by navigating to Settings > System > Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step. > System Restart.

We have 3 smart TVs, each has its own roku. Data listed on my account.

ALL 3 setups have the problem, You cannot select a channel directly, NO selecting a series or movie. Only chance or dumb luck gets desired location.
Roku, Hulu, Britbox, Acorn, all have the same behavior nothing takes a single step, scrolls past 2,3 or 4 steps.
The behavior on the home screen is "normal" moves one step at a time.

Thank you for this easy solution. Wish I had found this prior to purchasing a new simple remote (which continued with the same issue). I had become totally frustrated with trying to watch anything on my apps.
