And my new smart samsung tv doesn't have I24 app as a choice to download. I guess I shouldn't be mad. They  are fighting a war and maybe the IT is in Gaza fighting the good fight. Am Israeli Chai.

We understand that your getting a playback issue with the i24 news channel and we appreciate the troubleshooting steps taken here. We would recommend to follow up some additional troubleshooting that might help cure the problem provided by our support page here: How to resolve a channel playback issue - Roku Support.

If the issue persists, we would recommend to contact the channel team directly and ask additional support. Please be aware that most of the channels on Roku are managed directly by the channel team itself.

Also suddenly this last week the I24 News channel just comes up and then back to the Roku home screen. I have rebooted my router, restarted the roku several times, and uninstalled and re-installed the Roku app. Still no access. This is the most direct news out of Israel. Is this some kind of political thing ??

Having the same issue. Reached out to Roku without a response, the channel directly, no response, frustrating.

I have the same issue on all my Roku devices and I've tried everything.  At first it made me log in every single time on every single TV.  Roku must have blocked the channel. I can watch it just fine on phones and laptops.

You know what the solution is? AirPlay (if you have an iPhone) - screen mirroring the Live stream from the i24 app, into a TV, that, works!

Roku cannot assist with a 3rd party app not working properly. Only the app/channel provider can assist. It's possible that the provider (i24) has decided to restrict the locations that may view their content. It's also possible that somewhere on the Internet the site is being blocked because of political reasons. There are a number of countries that would gladly block Israel from streaming content to the world.

Roku doesn't block content from authorized apps/channels. Since i24 is still shown in the Channel store, it's authorized. And if it were suddenly unauthorized, they would just remove the app from your device without warning. Since you still have the app, Roku is not the one responsible for it not working.

At the time of my writing this (7/21/2024) the i24NEWS Roku app is *not supported* by i24News and hasn’t been for awhile now even though i24NEWS has not bothered to pull the app from the Roku channel store nor the Roku app link at some parts of the i24NEWS website. i24NEWS IS currently *FULLY* available for free (including their video live stream) at their website, through their iOS app, and their YouTube channel (as is their “sister” channel France 24); don’t know about their Android app. “Casting” i24NEWS to Roku devices is fully functional via Apple’s and Roku’s *operating system* access to Airplay (for example the Airplay control within the iOS Control Panel) even though clicking on the i24News iOS app’s *built-in* Airplay link icon says it “can’t find” any devices on your network. All of this is currently true at least within the US if not elsewhere.
