Why is Roku attached to my AT&T streaming service?

Jump to solution

I have 2 of the usb’s but I didn’t think they would be involved in my streaming bill that is online with AT&T.

TIA

Re: Why is Roku attached to my AT&T streaming service?

Hello Chel,

I went into an AT&T store today and they have said that I connected my streaming service to my Roku account.  I honestly don’t remember doing that, but when I go into my account through AT&T it says I am paying for my Uverse streaming through Roku.com.  When I log onto my Roku account Uverse is listed under subscriptions.  I can’t imagine doing that but its possible when I added the Roku equipment to my tv it asked if I wanted to connect the two.  If thats what I did then I must have assumed it would be helpful.  So a couple of things I am concerned about:
What if I want to cancel Uverse streaming will that effect my Roku in anyway?

If I want to dissociate the two is there an instruction on how to do that?

Lastly is Roku a 3rd party collecting on behalf of Uverse?

TIA
