Re: The Paramount+ channel had no option to sign in

I had the same thing the OP had and this worked.  I had no idea there were 2 apps.

Re: The Paramount+ channel had no option to sign in

That doesn't solve the problem.

Yes, you can add, sign in to, and use the Paramount+ app directly, but even if you do that, when you use Roku's search function (or do a voice search), whatever show it returns still only gives you the free trial option (or it says to sign in or subscribe, but when you try that sign in isn't an option).  In other words, the ONLY way to watch is in the app directly as it's not possible to access the app using the search function without starting a free trial.  (I'm assuming that the only fix is to subscribe to Paramount+ directly or via The Roku Channel, which not only isn't possible with the Walmart+ subscription, but also some people may prefer to sign up via Sling, Prime, etc.).

The free trial issue doesn't seem to be an issue for services/apps to which I've subscribed directly (in my case Disney+, Hulu, Peacock, Prime).

However the problem DOES exist with MGM+ (to which I subscribe via Sling).  Oddly it does not exist for Max, even though I subscribe to that service via Prime.

When using the search function for shows on some services (ESPN, Fox Sports) you will be asked to sign in even though you are already signed in on the app.  In these instances, however, signing in a second time is usually successful.

This glitch/programming oversight pretty much makes the search functions at best tedious, and at worst useless, which is extremely irritating.
