Verizon Remote Guide button turns on Roku

While watching Verizon Cable if I hit the Guide button on the Verizon Remote it switches to The Roku menu on my Roku Express 4K+

    Then they just use similar IR commands that conflict with each other. You can't change the IR address of either device, what you can do is move the Roku out of sight so the cable remote iR command won't reach it. If you're not using Roku wifi voice remote you should switch so you can control the Roku while it's buried behind the tv.

    Go into the Roku settings:

     

    Settings> system> control other devices> uncheck the 1-touch play box

      I’m having a similar issue. My Fios remote is opening apps and playing movies while I am using the Verizon box and my Verizon remote. I have already turned off the 1 touch.
