I don't think we want to turn off the streaming channels, just the new menu above the guide.

Same here, and now I have to click Back twice to exit the channel guide too. Annoying, and I can't find it in settings either.

No offense but this new "Update" just made navigating with a remote that doesn't have numbers ever more archaic. I've tried everything to work around this and all I can say is I hate what they did to the menu guide. It just made it more work EVERY time you go to change channels. Bad idea. Please put it back the way it was. Thank you.
I completely agree its absurd to add extra steps just to view the guide. Give me the option to get rid of these big boxes at the top or put it back the way it was! Overengineering!

I'm guessing that after this amount of time, we are being ignored. Because of this annoying guide change, I bought a TIVO recently to try out at my shop. There are alternatives.
Well, this “assistance” isn’t much help at all! I think Roku has abandoned us to let AI do all their work and we’ll be stuck with what they give us, like it or not. They probably only have one or two employees actually working there while letting AI do all their customer service. The few employees they do have are probably only for the care and maintenance of The Machine. Thanks for your excellent customer service, Roku! (In case your AI doesn’t catch it, that last statement was SARCASM!)

Get rid of On Now feature. At least give us a way to deactivate it.
Roku won't fix a **bleep** thing. They have been aware since 2024 how much this change annoys people and have done NOTHING to remedy it. Roku really sucks when it comes customer service and providing a positive experience for their users.

Do you not realize that this very much unwanted and hated feature is costing you lots of customers? Not just disgruntled digital savvy ones, but THE ELDERLY, who like to sit and watch TV all day!! It's difficult enough for them to navigate cable, or streaming services, as it is, but this added layer of complication is just way too far. If my father was still here, and this was added to his Roku TV, I would have had to junk it and get him something else, as there's no way he'd have a clue as to how this works with all the unnecessary, unwarranted, ridiculous extra steps involved in just watching the **bleep** TV! FIX THIS ALREADY!! You can simply have the top row of channels be an option, so that if someone wishes to go to any of them, they only need to move up to the row and click on one! It's that simple, but no, you force us there by default, resulting in more added clicks just to return to what we are already watching.... smdh
Oh, and I'd been considering buying a new Roku TV, but until this situation is remedied, that ain't happening...
Please give us the option to remove these boxes. Just want the 1 click grid back!!
