AirPlay audio issues from MacBook

I am using one of the newest Roku 4K (not sure of the model #), and I am consistently having an issue getting the audio to work when using AirPlay from my MacBook (running Tahoe 26.0.1). So far, the only solution I have found is restarting the Roku through the settings/menu (Settings > System > Power > System Restart); however, just doing this one time doesn't always work. In fact, I can't pinpoint the specific number of resets it takes before it works: it seems to be totally random.

When clicking the * button on the Roku remote, it says "Not available" under volume mode, and "Not supported for this audio device" above it, even when the volume is working. I saw this suggested on another help thread, so I figured I would mention it.

For clarity, I verify that Roku is selected as the output device in the sound settings of my computer. Nothing is "muted" (the safari tab, actual video box, computer, or TV itself). It just randomly starts working after resetting the Roku and trying AirPlay again however many times.

I think those are all the details I can think of. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

    Hey! francesca2

You seem to be having problems with AirPlay on Roku, and to help narrow things down, could you share more info about it?

When did you start noticing this issue? Also, did this happen right after a software update? Lastly, do you have any external speakers connected to your TV?

We hope to hear from you soon!
