Video Doorbell Live Feed drops out on Roku Ultra

Smarthome app gets video from front door comes up in a about 3 seconds

Many times video feed on Roku Ultra times out requiring me to remove and plug in again the doorbell at the AC socket. After that it works, sort of - takes about 12 seconds for the feed to come up on Roku Ultra. Doesn't last though.

Every now and then the doorbell loses its brain totally and requires cycling AC on doorbell.

This is a total failure considering it's sold as a security solution. Since I installed a UPS on the doorbell AC it's better, but far from perfect even on the smarthome app. Camera firmware is up to date, as are all devices.

    Hey, rpett.

    Thanks for sharing this here!

Could you share what specific error messages you're seeing? In the meantime, try the following steps below and see if the issue persists.

On the Camera App on the Roku Ultra, try...

    1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
    2. Restart your Roku device: Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart Now.
    3. Reinstall the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Streaming Store and add the channel again.

Let us know if that works!

I have been posting about this issue for months. The doorbell works great in the IOS app but doesn’t connect on the Camera app on the ultra. I never get a serious response. Just a request for error messages. The error is it doesn’t connect. Someone at Roku needs to get some hardware and replicate the problem. Very frustrating and disappointing.
