Subscription needed for image events?
I have had three Roku cameras with sd cards in them for about two years now. They have always showed me the image of the event after getting the notification but just today (16 July 2025) it no longer always me to see the image. Do I have to have a subscription to see the image in the app?358Views7likes27Comments2025 Weather-Resistant Outdoor Wireless Camera Spotlight will not pick up motion
I just purchased a wireless, set it up on Friday 6-27. Re located my wired outdoor camera (works perfectly!!!!!). The wired picks up everything, from a bird to a branch blowing in the wind and sends me a notice. The new wireless will not pick up motion. It is frustrating! I have tried every variation of the settings. I am returning it to try another camera that comes with Wi-Fi extender/unit? Good idea? Is this a common issue? Suggestions? Was going to go with another wired, but too many unsightly wires!!!! Thank you.67Views1like2CommentsIndoor Roku Camera no longer taking still photos…
As of yesterday, July 16th at exactly 3:56pm my Roku indoor camera stopped taking photos/still screenshots?!? I do not have a subscription, and that has been absolutely fine for months now. It “would/use to” send me a notification that motion was detected and then I could either look at the live feed or check the photo it captured of the motion/event! Now I am still getting motion notifications, but there are NO photos??? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?…Did Roku change their policy or something without notifying anyone? I have the indoor Camera SE. I loved it, and was actually about to purchase a several more of them…well that was until it decided to stop working yesterday afternoon 🤦🏼♀️138Views5likes7CommentsIndoor Camera 360 is No Longer Taking Still Shots?
i’ve had two indoor 360 cameras for almost a year. For the first two weeks, I had them they did record video footage on the event tab , but after the free trial ended I have been getting still images.. That worked for me so I did not get a subscription. Aside from random problems like when motion would go off the app would send me a notification that I’ve been signed out (even though I wasn’t) and going off line and randomly connecting to my 5G and stop working I haven’t had many issues. As of yesterday (July 16,2025) at 4:30 PM CST the app stop taking still images! I can still see a live feed, I still get notifications. When I click on the motion notification, I used to be taken directly to that image now I’m taken to an “error (code 01) “problem retrieving from the cloud if persists contact support” when I go to the event tab there is nothing there after 4:30 PM yesterday and now nothing today… Last night, I did contact support. I was on there for over an hour. I did all the things. Update my app, reset the camera, restart the camera, uninstall my app, and reinstall, uninstall the camera then reinstall, logout/log back in, check the app from someone else’s phone and more. The representatives tried to tell me that you have to have a subscription to see the images but then they would come back after going back-and-forth and say “oh you don’t have to have a subscription to see still images, but you do for recordings” I was escalated to another representative that tried to tell me for the past year I absolutely was not getting images.. when I sent him screenshots showing that I had been getting images and that I had that particular camera since April and he could see that he then said you can get images without a subscription. He said I should be able to see still images without a subscription. Has anyone else had this problem that just started the afternoon of July 16?83Views1like4CommentsI can't connect my roku cameras to my onn roku tv.
I am experiencing some difficulties with my onn Roku TV, as I am unable to view the live feed from my Roku cameras. My Hisense Roku TV works perfectly with the cameras. The onn TV is a recent purchase. I have ensured that all software, including the Roku camera app, is updated. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Despite these efforts, I am still unable to see the live feed, although I can view the recorded events. I have attempted to disconnect and reconnect the cameras, as well as restart the TV, but the issue persists.42Views1like3CommentsDisappointed
I bought the Roku doorbell camera. I really look forward to having it and be able to see it on my TV screen however, this new product would never charge at all. It was a real disappointment. I ended up buying a different kind of camera that charged real well. All my Roku things worked well and I thought this product would too.28Views1like1Comment
