Battery Camera Will Not Complete Setup

I'm trying to install a battery camera (indoor/outdoor. Battery is charged green light is on. Screen on phone says charge battery and will not go to next step. I was on the phone all day yesterday and was told that the back end engineers were working on my issue. This was about 24 hours ago. Any help from the community would be appreciated.

Problem with SD cards in cameras

I have 10 cameras for at least 3 years and I am upset with how the SD cards operate. I have a paid subscription but also have SD cards in the cameras for backup. Here are my concerns: (1) Every time you do a firmware update to the cam it no longer recognizes the SD card. I have to remove all the cards and reformat them and reinsert them before they start working again. This is pain since some are installed outdoors and need a ladder to get to them. Also, this is usually the most important time for the SD to work since the firmware and app updates are often buggy and it seems that sometimes for weeks after you update the cams they dont record properly to the internet. (2) I set the SD to record continuously. But once the card fills up, they stop recording instead of recording over the oldest file. So every month or two I have to remove all the cards, reformat, and replace. (3) The only way to get the SD card info is by removing the cards. This is a pain (ladder access, etc). Can't you set them up so we can access the SD card info from the app.?

Floodlight camera stopped working after last firmware update

I've had a floodlight Cam for many years now. It is the only one cam that has worked consistently well over the last 4 years (I have 10 other cams). But Roku had to mess it up. The firmware was updated a couple weeks ago and now the floodlight has stopped working and the floodlight settings have been removed from the app, so I can't even manually turn the light on or off anymore. I am so frustrated with Roku security systems. They release **bleep** app updates and cam updates and it always screws things up for a month or more until they debug it. They don't ever let us know that they are making changes before hand, so sometimes you don't know you have a problem for weeks after their poorly executed updates. I'm seriously going to look into a whole new company to use. There must be someone better than this.

Camera video not recording entire events

Since around the first week in July 2025 my cameras do not record the entire event. When a person, vehicle, etc. triggers an event, the still snapshot of the person or vehicle is captured in the event list. But, when I click on the video and play it, the video seems to start a couple of seconds after when the snapshot had happened. This being the case, the video does not show the important part of the event. I feel like Roku must have done an update to their system sometime around when this problem started happening. I have cameras connected at different locations and it happens to all cameras. Each of these locations has a different internet provider, so it is not an internet provider problem or any problem or change on my end. I have not changed any settings and this problem started occurring on all cameras in all locations at the same time. Also, when I view my events, the "motion rectangle" never shows up anymore in the videos to highlight the area that triggered the video. I have a paid subscription.

Has the video event background changed?

Hello community! When viewing events in the past, the video event background was highlighted in light purple, then when you viewed it, it changed to a white background, signaling that the event was viewed. That no longer is the case - was this changed? Anyone else see the same thing ? Am I making sense?? 🤣

Roku Battery Powered Camera stopped working after 2 weeks.

I bought a battery powered camera which does not work now. I did the troubleshooting steps twice which included factory resetting. I requested support from Roku and explained all the detailed but only got messages from them with no guidance. The most recent message was them saying they “had an update”. I asked what it was and then they ghosted me. Don’t buy their cameras!!

Roku Battery Camera SE Stopped working

I bought a roku baterry camera SE from Walmart in May. So its just like 4 months ago, and the camera battery ran out so I brought it inside to get it charged. This is the 3rd time I charged these cameras and the last two times I charged them, everything went fine. This third time however 2 of the cameras stopped working completely. I tried everything in the book, from leaving it charging all night to factory rest both by pressing the restart button that's at the base of the camera right next to the charging port. Nothing happened. I spent over 100 dollars for this two cameras and Walmart said no for returning them because the return policy expired and dumb me didn't buy a warranty coverage. I don't know what to do anymore and I don't want to throw them in the trash 😤💔. Unfortunately there are no videos on what to do regarding these specific brand for the roku cameras. Please help!!!!!

Chime not working or connecting with error message "No device"

My chime has stopped working. I have reset everything, I have cut power off, I have Uninstalled the Smarthome app, nothing is working. When I try to add the chime, it goes through the process just fine. The blue light is on, then it flashes the blue light, then it says connected, then I select "finish", but then it always says "no device". Please help! Its pointless having a doorbell if the chime doesnt work.
