I have a Roku TV model 40R2A5R, software version 14.5, hardware ID H804X. When I watch OTA live channels, as a new program begins, the screen goes black. The TV remains on, and I can scroll to another channel, tune it in, then go back to the preferred channel that blacked out, and select it and it will come on, until the next program, then it happens all over again. Does not happen on streaming apps or over the internet stations. Seems to happen on all OTA channels. Waiting for the black screen to change doesn't seem to work, it stays black. I have to divert to another channel, then back to the one I wanted.
Seems to be fixed without any action needed on my end. I just checked Settings but I don't show any new software update - still same version 14.5.4 and build 5944. Also still shows the last system update was in April, way before the problem started. So strange!
JeanInTN I still would like to know what Roku did that caused this issue. I asked RokuMaryEF but did not receive a response. Inquiring minds would like to know.

started 6/20/25 with tv 1 owned since Feb 2024 and tv 2 owned since july 2023. it happens at the 30 min mark and 1 hour mark of every tv show. when a show goes to switch programs the black screen appears. it appears both on antenna broadcast and the "live tv" programming. we have a 3rd tv Vizio 32 inch that is connected to the same antenna and it does not have this issue (it does not have Roku but is "smart")

Found this issue documented on Reddit - I'm experiencing the same issue too.
Just recently started having an issue on my Roku 4k Streaming Stick. When I watch shows on the Roku Channel app, for example, America's Test Kitchen or At Home with Family Handyman, etc, right when the episodes time block ends and the next time block starts, the channel will just go to black. However, the TV is not turning off or going into any power saving mode. If I press the "OK" button, it stop brings up the little info bar at the lower half bottom, and when I change the channel, it starts playing again. This does not happen with any other RokuTV app. Only channels under the "Live TV" guide on Roku Channel app this happens with. I have tried updating the app, and also removing and re adding it back. I have not tried factory resetting it as I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions or experienced this issue first before resorting to a complete reset. Again, all power savings features are turned off.
Another user thought perhaps the new LiveTV smart assistance could be contributing...looks like y'all are on that thread too.

Screen goes black with no audio when using antenna input to ATSC Tuner
All OTA (Over The Air) Channels
Always and only when there is a program change reported on the guide. If a program starts a few minutes earlier or later than the guide reports, the issue does not occur until the guide's time is reached (I.e. if the program starts at 1858, but the guide says it was to start at 1900, the screen and audio will blank out at 1700)
This issue started immediately with SW update to the version above on June 17, 2025. It did not exist before.
New up date and the antenna screen goes black after 30 min. A known issue. How about fixing the channel info when switching to the previous screen? It always shows a different channels number and information.
I have two roku tvs and both have started to lose picture every 30 minutes. I channel up and and down and picture returns for 30 minutes. It only happens when using antenna and roku channel. If I use an app like prime it does not happen. I have power cycled and gone through the settings, but no luck.
