"Continue watching" shows things I'm not watching.
So every week or so my Roku app selects random shows from Netflix for me to "keep watching." I haven't found a solution that permanently takes care of the problem. Some important things to note here. I live alone, and there is only one device I use to watch shows. I am also home most of the time, as I'm physically disabled, so the chances of someone else using my account are very slim. I do not share my Roku login with anyone, I have tried factory resets and logged myself out of all other devices multiple times, and even changed the email and password on my account. This has not fixed the issue. I do not have a Netflix subscription and I haven't for months. I have never heard of nor watched any of the shows in question. When I remove them from the "continue watching" section they immediately reappear. The shows frequently change as if someone actually is watching them. The continue watching section never shows options from apps I actually watch shows on, like Hulu or Apple TV. It only shows shows I have never watched on a single service that I don't have. At this point I'm not sure how to stop this from happening and responses I've seen to people having similar issues have been extremely unhelpful. I would greatly appreciate someone actually reading this post and responding to the problem I have instead of linking me a help article I've already read dozens of times trying to fix it. It's kind of freaking me out at this point.160Views0likes18CommentsUnable to install the Peacock App
I Have Premium Plus On The Peacock App And I Went To Download Peacock On My TV's Roku Home Page. But There is No Trace Of Peacock. But My TV And Roku Had Peacock Recently Before A Friend Deleted it Off The Home Page. How Can I Get Peacock Back On My TvSolved29Views1like2CommentsApps missing on Home Screen
Icon missing on home screen. Have to search and then it says open app. I've updated all software. Rebooted multiple times. Don't have the option to delete it. Pushing the asterisk tells me a synopsis of the app and version. It works, but what a mess. Any other ideas other than signing in to account on computer and deleting app across all players and reinstalling on each one? Thanks92Views0likes9CommentsRoku cannot display italic font or emojis
I own a 2024 Roku Ultra and noticed for a long time that the whole OS cannot display emojis in any app. I noticed this with my Spotify and YouTube playlists, for example. And today I finally had enough of this issue, and wanted to report it. As you can see in the following photos Roku is unable to display emojis properly: My NVIDIA Shield Pro has no problem displaying emojis properly. See following photos using the Spotify app on my NVIDIA Shield Pro: < replacement for Karma in italic font) Please don’t even start asking for the unnecessary OS version and this and that. It’s irrelevant and my system is up to date. Check this on YOUR end to confirm. The same is happening with the YouTube app and any other app. Roku is unable to display italic font and emojis properly, using colors and the actual emojis. It’s possible that it also can’t display other fonts. Please FIX THIS.94Views1like3CommentsAdded apps missing on the Roku Home screen
We have two Roku devices connected to two different TVs, and they share the same Roku account. Sometimes when I add an app on one of the devices, it also adds it to the other device but it does not add it to the other device's home screen. For example, today I added "Plex", "The Roku Channel", and "Tubi" to one of our devices and positioned them where I wanted them on the home screen. Then I went to the other TV to position them where I wanted them and found that only "Tubi" had been added to the home screen. I tried using the Streaming Store and Search options to add "Plex" and "The Roku Channel" to the second device but I got the "Open app" option instead of the "Add app" option, indicating that the app had already been added. They just weren't being displayed on the home screen. So, I went to the first device (the one I had originally added them on) and removed "Plex" and "The Roku Channel", and then added them on the second device. And the same thing happened. They showed up on the second device's home screen but not on the first, and I was unable to add them to the first device ("Open app" instead of "Add app" in the Streaming Store) because they had already been added. In both cases I tried doing a system restart on the device where the apps were not showing up on the home screen, but it had no effect.265Views1like17CommentsRoku Home Screen keeps on changing
„Summer of streaming deals“ and such things are forcibly shown on my homescreen every other week, and I hate it. Please don’t be intrusive Roku, I don’t want to see these things! It’s always annoying having to go into settings>menu items and hiding these new items every other week. JUST STOP IT ROKU. I really want a universal opt-out of this kind of thing that’s changing my homescreen and forcing new items on it. Please leave me alone with this stuff. I’m not interested and never will be. Stop ruining the simplicity of my homescreen, and learn to take NO for an answer. I hide these items over and over again, and over and over again you bring something new back. I hate it!100Views2likes1CommentInvisible input buttons
I'm a home health aide. My client has a roku TV where the on screen input buttons are invisible. You move the cursor to where the button should be and the wire frame around the button highlights, and the voice assistant says you have the button selected, but the button itself is invisible. Does anyone have any ideas what might have happened and how to fix it?87Views0likes4Comments
