Please add a Twitch Channel
There is a Twitch app on Roku. It’s not good. You say contact Twitch! I did they no longer support their own app. The app has no feature to remove it once it’s been added. Since Twitch doesn’t support it. Please Remove it from the Roku service.Solved43KViews3likes3CommentsNew scan for live TV channels
We recently moved, so I needed to rescan for local live TV channels. I did so, and it seemed to work because it said that it had found four local channels. However, the live tv guide still shows the couple dozen channels that we used to receive in our previous location. Any ideas on how to get it to display the new channels it picked up and delete the old ones?Solved27KViews0likes9CommentsAntenna channels disappear whenever I turn off the TV.
On a Westinghouse ROKU TV, "Live TV" never shows scanned channels. I can see them in setup after a new scan. They disappear as soon as I hit the "Home" button, or leave the "Guide" screen. I have tried the power off and on trick. I was planning to change the name of "Live TV " to Antenna" but the scanned channels are not remembered ling enough to do that. This system has serious amnesia . (it was much easier to use our previous dumb TV with a ROKU attachment. Then we were in control of the input feeds. )Solved17KViews1like47CommentsNetflix won't install
I just set up a new tv (TCL Roku TV), and installed a bunch of new channels through the Roku set up process, including Netflix. However, Netflix has never installed. I have turned the TV off and back on, unplugged and plugged it back in, updated the system several times, attempted to install Netflix again, and again, and again, day after day. Two things keep happening: 1) When I attempt to install Netflix, it counts up the progress percent all the way to 100%, and then tells me that Netflix could not install, and that the channel was not added. 2) When I update the TV system, it shows that it is installing Netflix, and then says that all software is up to date, but the Netflix channel never appears on the home screen. Goodbye Roku! Hello Amazon FireTV! Just an FYI if you want to be able to use IPTV streaming services, invest in an Amazon FireTV stick, I've seen them new as low as $14.99. Or maybe you hate everything Amazon. Fair enough, there's plenty of other device that utilize an Open Android system. Unlike Android-based operating systems, the Roku OS is a modified Linux OS which acts as its own closed system, meaning there is no way to jailbreak it or customize it. AKA, if they don't want you to use IPTV services, you don't. Save yourself the hassle of searching for hours on ways to sideload Roku with any IPTV streaming services, it is flat out a waste of time. If you are lucky enough to sneak one by on a sideload, it will be quickly disabled and your ability to sideload at all will be revoked. Roku made a definite mistake and underestimated the importance of their Private Channels feature. I for example am getting rid of ALL the many Roku devices I had on different TV's and have sworn off the company. I made one last ditch effort today to see if I could save the devices from storage by sideloading any IPTV streaming service and after wasting 1-2 hours trying, I am throwing in the towel SO SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. I used to love Roku products and recommended them to all of my friends and family but removing such a beloved feature on all of their devices, I made the switch to Amazon (blegh) FireTV and haven't looked back. That said, I am by no means an Amazon fan and may switch further to just a generic Android device for TVs, that way I can install TiviMate Premium. If you have an IPTV streaming service plan, I'd highly recommend you do the same! Roku cut the private channel feature out of pure greed. They couldn't profit from it, so why allow it to continue? I'm proof why. You will continue to lose customers to your top competitors over this gaffe, I guarantee it. Adios, have fun on your closed system Roku's!7.7KViews2likes9CommentsWondrium Channel: Sign In Every Time Roku Restarted
