Voice remote pro and TCL roku tv not compatible model #s 50S535 or 32D327

Anyone have any luck with New Voice Remote pro and TCL roku tvs. After roku support asking me to contact TCl and TCL telling me this remote is not compatible with either of my 2 week old tvs.Just want to make sure this is accurate before I pay half the price of remote to return to Roku. Have model 32S327 and 50S535 TV's. Thanks in advance.

    Voice Remote Will Not Pair

My Roku Voice Remote will not pair to my Roku TCL TV. I have tried every trouble shooting step previously posted including of course removing the batteries and unplugging my TV (tried this countless times for an hour), holding down the pairing button for at least 20 seconds while pointing at the TV, going into the system settings and having my TV search for the remote (is never found), changing my WiFi network settings, ensuring my system OS is updated, and replacing the (already new) batteries. Here’s what happens when I put batteries in the remote: The green pairing light immediately starts to flash. I point the remote at the tv. I wait 2+ minutes until it stops. Or try to have the TV search for the remote at the same time. That’s it. The remote pairing dialogue never appears. This is NOT a cinch, it’s the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a modern piece of technology. I’ve had roku products for a decade and I’ve never had an issue like this before. Is there anything else I can try? Otherwise I am returning this remote as I believe it must be faulty.

Roku Voice Remote Pro Stopped Working

A few months ago, I bought a Roku Voice Remote Pro from the Roku Channel/ Yesterday, for no apparent reason, it all but stopped working. I can turn it on and I can raise and lower the volume, but I cannot do any of the other things it used to do, including but not limited to moving from one channel to the other on the Home page, pause, use speak buttons and using the arrow button. It's a USB remote and has a 77% charge. I do not want to spend another $30 on a remote that's going to last just a few months, which is probably a good thing because the button on the Roku sends me to Amazon where it is selling for $69. What are my other options?

How to UNPAIR a voice remote to disable Device Connect?

I have a desire to disable Device Connect so that my Roku Ultra 4800 is not using or transmitting any sort of wifi. Yes, I have an IR remote that will and does work fine with the Ultra. There is a specific Advanced System Setting menu option for doing this, and it cautions about not being able to use the voice remote or screen casting, etc, which I’m fine with… …However, trying to turn it off displays the error “Device Connect cannot be turned off when these devices are paired to your Roku player: Enhanced Voice Remote”. Okay, so just unpair it. Only, you can’t. There is no menu option for that. You can reset the pairing on the remote (home+back+pairing) but it never removes the registration from the Roku player, even if you reboot it. So it keeps complaining that I’m not allowed to turn off Device Connect because of the remote, even if the remote is no longer connected. I went so far as to factory reset the Roku and then try to skip pairing the Voice remote, only it INSISTS on doing that. It sits on the “pair your remote” screen and completely ignores all IR commands until the voice remote is connected. I even went into the secret menu which has an option to “forget all remotes” but that only seems to disconnect from connected remotes, not wipe pairing information. Anyone have any insight on how I can actually accomplish this?

Voice Remote Pro— Factory Rest Possible?

I just received my voice remote pro. After the initial pairing, all of the buttons were working fine. It could power off the tv and control the volume. As I continued to complete the set up, I came to the step where it wanted more information about the tv. That’s when the tv power and volume buttons stopped working. The settings for my tv never got the music to stop playing. Oddly, using the voice commands will still control the volume and turn the tv off, but not back on. Anyway, it was working, so if there is some way to return the remote to its initial out of the box settings, hopefully it will work again. However, resetting and re-pairing the remote or trying to get the roku to forget it hasn’t helped, as it must still remember the botched attempt to put in a tv code. Does anyone know how to do a factory reset of the remote or know what initial tv code it came with right out of the box?

How invasive is the voice remote, and can it be turned off?

Dear Community, we are debating replacing our older Roku with a new one, we love Roku! However it looks like they now feature voice activated remotes. I'm sure this is a selling point for some but I have privacy concerns. Does anybody know if this thing is listening the way your typical smart speaker does (meaning that recordings of your voice are uploaded through the internet to a company's servers)? Or does it just control the Roku device locally and what you say is not sent up to the mothership and kept forever? I have just updated my voice preferences to "off" under settings here on the Roku site so I think it gets sent up via the internet but just checking. Also how easily can voice activation be turned off and does it stay off? To each their own but I personally think the phones are effective enough at reducing our privacy to almost zero. Why bring another listening device into your living room or bedroom? Is it really that hard to operate a remote? Thanks, -Matt

    Voice remote pro not pairing

I got the voice remote pro and I fully charged it and have gone in to the set up your remote and it just spins then says remote not found. I have tried restarting the roku the remote etc. I have a roku Premiere model 3920x serial number YH00GF523507 software 10.0.0 build 4195-91. Not sure why it is not pairing. I do have basic functions but private listening does not work nor does volume controls work.

    Voice remote pro won't charge

I ordered a new voice remote pro and have had it a month or less. The battery started showing up low a few days ago so I put it on a charger over night. The green light was blinking slowly, so it seemed to be charging but the next day the light was still blinking slowly and the Roku reported the battery was at 0% charge. Now it is completely dead, though the green light still blinks slowly when I plug in the charger and the remote works as long as it is plugged in.

Voice remote pro not holding charge

My remote worked fine for about 2 months or so, held a charge for weeks on end. Now when I charge it it dies in 3 days. I have used four different bases, four different charging cables, multiple plug-in points, anything else I could think of. Still lasts 3 days. Any help would be appreciated. I have held the pairing button down for 15 seconds and re paired it with the TV, still 3 days. Seems like the battery is shot.

    Problem with Voice Remote Pro

I am having problems with my Voice Remote Pro controlling my TV with voice commands. I was able to pair the remote successfully as I can turn the TV on/off and control volume manually with the buttons on the remote. But voice commands are not executed. The commands are being heard as I get messages on the TV display which says the command is being executed, but it is not actually happening. I have already tried this trick: Why is my Roku enhanced remote able to control the volume or power for my TV, but not both? With manufacturers producing various models, most TV brands have a number of remote codes. During the remote setup, your Roku player will attempt to narrow this list of possible codes on your specific TV brand and program the enhanced remote to the correct code. It is possible that the code programmed into your Roku enhanced remote when you heard the music stop only contains commands to control either volume or power, but not both. Using a different code for the TV brand may work to control both volume and power. To have your Roku player try additional remote codes, restart the setup process for your Roku enhanced remote and alter the steps as follows: When you first hear the music stop and are asked “Did the music stop playing?”, do not answer the question. Instead, turn the volume back up with your TV remote until the music is audible again. Now, answer the question with No, and your Roku player will move on to try the next remote code. The next time you hear the music stop, answer the question with Yes, and your Roku enhanced remote will be programmed with the new code. In rare cases, you may need to repeat this process, answering No to multiple codes before you find a code that controls both volume and power. But what happens here is when I answer "No" under step 2, I don't get any alternate codes - I get this message: But that's not really true, as the remote IS paired and works manually! I have a Roku Ultra 4660. My TV is a Sony Bravia S-Series KDL-46S4100 Any help would be appreciated!
