i have a roku tv, model WR32HX2210 and i want to connect to the internet via ethernet and not using WiFi. Is that possible on its own? Maybe i need to purchase another roku ultra and connect to the ethernet that way.
Doing it that way means only the Ultra would have an internet connection. The TV would never get an update or be able to connect to the internet.
Maybe a USB to ethernet adapter might work on one of the set's USB ports, but no guarantee it would work (check your manual or ask the manufacturer).
Or add an access point to your router, and future-proof any new devices.
Hi, @hawk156
It's always great to see new users here in the Roku Community.
We appreciate your inquiry regarding connecting your Roku TV via ethernet, and we'd be pleased to assist. Have you tried locating an ethernet port on your Roku TV? Since the manufacturer of your TV is Westinghouse, you can reach out to them and inquire for help on the whereabouts of the ethernet port on your TV since Roku TV manufacturers provide direct support with their TV models.
You can reach out to them at Westinghouse Customer Support
If there's anything we can do to assist you further, please let us know.
Best wishes,
Kash
No guarantee it will work with a Roku TV, but there is this official information from Roku:
A search of the model number shows not only that the manufacturer is Westinghouse, but that it has no wired ethernet connection.
Thanks for confirming the Roku TV model's wired internet connection compatibility, @Anonymous
In this matter, @hawk156 if you wish to connect via ethernet, then the Roku Ultra is a great choice for this kind of setup. You can visit this link and check out Roku Ultra.
Best wishes,
Kash
