would like to use the Ultra in wired mode<

is it possible to disable the WiFi completely doing so?

also the WiFi Direct for the remotePro?

but is it still possible to @convert the RF/remote Pro to a IR-based one with the new Ultra 2024 model?

someone on the forum here described a procedure that would disable the AcessPoint (WiFi) for the remote by entering a code< and thus enabling IR/remote,

or is the Rokul Ultra 2024 automatically IR enabled?

No, WiFi cannot be disabled in the device.

WiFi Direct in the device can be disabled, but only if not using a paired WiFi Direct remote:  Settings/System/Advanced System Settings/Device Connect = Disable Device Connect

WiFi/WiFi Direct cannot be disabled in the remote.

if i understood you correctly, i would need to buy another remote (which should be only IR-based),

and then i could disable WiFi completely in the Roku Ultra 2024, via Settings, and not loosing functionality (i don't mind loosing Voice Remote since i wouldnt use the feature anyway) ?

You could buy another IR-only remote (e.g. Roku Simple/Basic Remote), and you could disable WiFi Direct, but you could never disable WiFi/BT/wireless in general (no such ability).

there should be a secret code inserted via remote to disable the WiFi AP on the RoKU,

it has been shared in an earlier thread on Roku Ultra 2020 if iam not mistaken.

Yes, you are mistaken:  Unfortunately there is no "Secret Screen" with a setting/option to disable WiFi (there are "Secret Screens", but there is no such setting to disable wireless/WiFi/BT on them), despite what you think any previous posts in previous threads stated (read the entire thread(s) and you'll understand).

The best you can do is to disable WiFi Direct as previously stated, but this doesn't disable WiFi and/or BT and/or wireless in general (and it doesn't de-activate the wireless SoC in the hardware).

did find this code here but the previous post could n not find (might need more torough search).

Home x5 fwd play back play forward. Disable in that menu. And wifi scan shows it’s no longer there.

Again, you have to read the entire thread (you cant stop reading @ that post).

Yes, that remote button sequence opens the "Platform Secret Screen", but there is no option there or within any of submenus to disable WiFi (or wireless) - it doesnt exist.  That person referred to information obtained from a website using incorrect very outdated information that only ever applied to models/firmware versions from 10+ years ago.  It is inapplicable with modern models released in the last decade or so with modern RokuOS versions (both the hardware and RokuOS have long since changed).

Again, at best you can disable WiFi Direct (via the Device Connect setting), but that doesn't disable WiFi or BT or wireless in general (and certainly doesn't disable the hardware WiFi SoC).

it cretainly was not from Model from tenyears ago,

since user or Roku developer (with indian name) stated clearly that is for Roku Ultra Model (maybe the one before 2020), so it COULD apply also for Ultra 2024.

if it then disabled or not WiFi,m is beyond reach for me to evaluate.

it seems , that those posts are no longer accessible, since Roku Forum seem have §archived some older forum post, like this one here
