Re: WiFi and Roku Device Connection Issues
I have the same problem with a Roku device plugged into an android TV. The Roku device drops several times a day, but the TV, other android devices, and laptop stay connected. As a workaround, I restart the AT&T 2.4GHz wifi on the AT&T All-Fi Hub from a Chrome web browser on an Android device. It takes about 15 seconds; the Roku device usually reconnects on its own; sometimes it's manually. That way I don't have to reboot or unplug any devices. I saved the Hub Ip address as a favorite and Hub password in Google to keep from retyping everything.

Re: WiFi and Roku Device Connection Issues
Google WiFi Pro does not allow you to configure 2.4Ghz. Fix your firmware, Roku.
I typed a much longer response but your **bleep** Community system made me re-register a new username even though I've had an account here for over a decade. Fix that **bleep**, too.

Re: Intermittently Losing Internet Connection
@BandMOut of curiosity, do you have any apps on your phone that show Wifi channel use? If not, I'd recommend installing WiFi Analyzer for Android or something similar for iPhone. Once you install it, take a look at how many others are using the same channel/band then log into the router and switch to one that's less congested. Many people make use of service provider routers which by default, choose channels using the 'auto' setting and that's often the problem you describe.

Re: Intermittently Losing Internet Connection
I believe I have found my issue. My building runs a 5G network, my Roku is older and needs to run on 2.4 GHz, which is fine because my modem was set up to run both by my internet provider (a technician needed to come in a do this), however, I would lose connection A LOT within a year. After calling many customer support techs with my internet provider (who all claimed this was a Roku issue) I finally had one guy keep trying to figure it out. Together we realized every time my power glitched or went out in my building my main modem was reverting to its original default settings when the power came back on. The machine was defaulting to a 5G network when I needed a 2.4 GHz to run my Roku. So every time my power goes out I have to call them to reset it n their end.
I hope any of this info helps, as I fought with this issue over a year. We have major construction in our area so had many power breaks, and also any power flickers from lightening storms… so it was happening a lot

I hope any of this info helps, as I fought with this issue over a year. We have major construction in our area so had many power breaks, and also small power flickers from lightening storms would set the modem back to ONLY running 5G.

Re: WiFi and Roku Device Connection Issues
Tell them to flash the running config to the startup configuration and that problem goes away.
