My router kicked the bucket so I got a new one yesterday. And now I'm unable to activate my Roku, as it's looking for the previous wireless network, which no longer exists. How do I get my Roku to recognize and connect with the new wifi network?
Using your remote, Settings > Network > Set up connection.
I have the same issue but I don’t have my Roku remote any longer. I’ve been using the app in my phone for over a year now. The only issue with that now is that I need both my phone & Roku to be on the same network to be able to use that.
Can someone please help? (:
No one can help. You need a remote. The only other option is to set up your new router (SSID and password) to match your old router.
Having the same issue. Feel like stuck in a loop where I can't update the settings without being able to locate the device. Can't locate the device until I'm able to update the settings.
I only have the remote on my phone.
Any idea if I buy a replacement physical remote if it would connect?
Thank you
@korset26, yes a physical remote is what you need. Depending on your model of Roku you may be able to get away with a universal remote. If you have a stick, you'll need a genuine Roku remote.
Thank you 😊
