Roku Smart Home services lacking
There is a clear lack of innovation within the Smart Home app, and the Roku security ecosystem as a whole. I mean no disrespect to the devs, but it feels like they are non existent. There are massive missed opportunities to really compete in the smart home market, but it feels like they fired the person that designed it before they could bring the idea fully to fruition.
I could list a whole series of pipe dream features, but the community moderators would just slap some solution on it that ignores the whole statement, and then declare the matter solved.
Do you want the option to have a camera feed pop up over a movie? Too bad. The community solution is that you should be watching the Roku Cameras channel if youre so curious about who pulled into the driveway.
There is a webfeed @ https://my.roku.com/smarthome However I can only get a feed from the floodlights. 😆 Maybe it's a work in progress, but there is no indication of that.
At this point it's probably actually worth playing YouTuber to make a video highlighting the absurdity of my over the top expectations, and how sorely disappointing the experience has been.
I can't even tag all of the associated products below this field😂
