Why do you have all these sex ads for Hims and Hers? They are disgusting. I don't want to see sex ads. You make me miss the days of three channels and censorship. I'll have to get rid of Roku. Oh, and I tried your privacy settings. That worked for a couple of days. If someone wants to watch porn, let them do so on their devices. This is TV and should be safe for kids and anyone else that is not interested in soft porn. Gross.
Hi @dnote627,
Greetings from the Roku Community!
We'd like to investigate further this issue that you're experiencing. What channel are you seeing these ads on? Could you send us a photo or video of your running concern?
We'll wait for your response.
Thanks,
John
Roku and Hulu. This evening was Hulu. We have an antenna. I guess I can just switch to that. I was googling how to remove these ads and apparently there is no way to do so.
It is one of those Hims commercials, skin and freckles and very much like soft porn. I cannot turn it off fast enough.
I was watching Only Murders in the Building.
Hi @dnote627,
Thank you for keeping us posted!
Please be advised that we strive to avoid other things that Roku users might disagree with. I'll forward your comments to the appropriate Roku team for review.
If you need anything else, please let us know.
Best regards,
Chel
If you see them on Hulu, then it's not really Roku's fault. You'll probably also get them on another device.
Hims and Hers is not about porn! Healthcare, esp mental health care, for Gen Z and the Millennials has become more and more digitized with the COVID revolution of remote healthcare. They no longer have to physically go to the doctor for some issues. They can chat or call or video call with a health care provider to take care of things that some might have a problem discussing in person with a doc or not have medical insurance to access a doctor in person. Hims and Hers is a phenomenal service and as a parent of 2 Gen Zers who are off to college and on their own, I am thankful there are ads like these to grab their attention. If you don’t like it, mute it. But this is the new wave of healthcare and these kids need to know there are services out there and they don’t have to struggle alone.
