i plugged my roku express 4k hdmi to tv then wall outlet. i get nothing no power. other devices cant find it or no internet connection. can i get some help please

i get no device found when i search to connect to wifi. now i dont get any light indicating that it has power but i still get the same message no device found. yes i have secured the hdmi cable & power source. i have a roku tv now so i wanted to use this device as a secondary for another room
