The guide channel is working but once a channel is selected the tv goes black.

To proceed with further investigation, please provide the following details above this thread so we can unlock more information about your concern.

In addition, if you're only encountering this on YouTube channel, try the following steps below for troubleshooting;

  1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star * to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
  2. Restart your Roku device: Refer to earlier instructions to restart your Roku device.
  3. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.

To investigate this issue further, kindly provide us with the details to give us more insight as to what is causing the problem:

  • When did you first notice this issue? 
  • Did you receive any software update that might trigger this issue? If so, please provide the software version of your Roku.
  • What specific Roku device/TV is affected by this problem? (Roku Express, Hisense Roku TV, or Roku Streaming Stick)
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
  • Is this the Live TV guide you're referring to? If so, does it affect all Live TV channels or only a specific channel? 
  • A photo of the incident will help us know more about it.

In the meantime, we highly recommend performing a system reboot. To do that, navigate to your home screen and go to Settings > System > Power > System Restart > Restart Now. Please try doing this and see if it helps with what you're experiencing.

Same problem... I have 4 tvs that we use roku, but only 2 of them have black screen when using YouTube tv... I've tried many things.. Not working!

Same problems as above, but it is affecting our Prime Video channel AND Disney+.

I'm not comfortable removing more than 1 channel.

Internet connection is fine
