It's been almost 2 weeks since this was reported with no updates from you at all on any progress regarding a fix just more issue reports requested and there have been several sent. Patience is running thin here,if it's just a random issue on some Roku units why can't you make a rollback available to those with AC3 audio issues?
I agree with Gary, Rollback would be the smartest decision until the issue is fix.
I have been trying to get something in RMP fixed for years. Roku has a very low priority on this app, unfortunately.
Any updates on this problem ?
Nope! Not a peep from Roku.
My question is,(example) does this only effect some Roku 4670r models or all of this model #?
Seems to me if it was all the 4670r models there would be more than dozen people here looking for answers after 3 weeks. That might help getting these audio specialists? doing something about it.
I was able to get audio from my AC-3 files by toggling the Volume Mode to Off and then back to my preferred mode. (this was on Ultra 4660).
If I left in Off position, the video could be played/resumed with audio just fine. If I switch back to Leveling or Night after first toggling to Off (to gain audio), then each time I play/resume later I first have to toggle to Off then select preferred mode.
To toggle Volume Mode, press the asterick (*) button while video is playing and select "Off" under Volume Mode.

Not sure why workaround is working on some models and not others according to this thread so may just have to try a couple of different combinations of audio settings with the Volume Mode in the Off position).
