Solving playback issues

Hey all,

Anytime I try and watch anything live on an app (cbs, fox, nfl, etc) the picture skips and its super annoying. The audio is fine, just the video. If i go to the live tv app on roku there is no skipping issue. Roku ultra 4660x. I've updated the system (version 14.0) and the apps and still the same issue, and have restarted it multiple times. I've updated all the apps as well. This sucks as I can log into apps to watch certain things but not with the Live TV app. Any help? Roku is right next to the router as well and tried to hard wire it with the same issue. Thanks

We understand that you're encountering an issue while streaming the Live TV on your Roku Channels, and we're here to take a closer look at your concern.

Could you send a photo or a short video of the incident so we can better understand it? Also, have you tried the Roku device on a different TV to see if the issue persists? In addition, try changing to a High-Speed HDMI cable to see if it makes any difference.

I'll take a video but first I will switch the Roku ultra to a different TV. I also have a Roku 4, I think that's the model, and a Roku smart tv in my house and will try those to see if those show the same problem as well. Thanks and will report back.

I swapped the Roku ultra with another HDMI cable and that seemed to fix it. Oddly, I took the “bad” hdmi cable and put it on another tv with my Roku 3 (not 4) and it didn’t do it either. But it’s fixed so thank you.
