This is also happening on our remote with our Vizio TV. It is on all channels.
We held the home and back button, as suggested here. We did not get the battery symbol on the TV. We had to reset the volume after we held the buttons to finally get the volume to work.
I hope you are able to figure out an update to send out so others do not have to go through this frustration.
Same exact thing happening to me and my Roku Ultra. It almost blows my7.1 surround system!
The number of people this is affecting shows a clear design defect in the product. None of the suggestions here has fixed either of my roku remotes, both of which keep doing this. Two different model remotes, same exact defect. Due to lack of support for a defective product, I am done buying any roku products. Had anyone here actually managed to fix this problem?
This does not solve the problem on either of my remotes.
Yeah, it's a real **bleep** of a glitch! Especially when visitors use the Roku and it goes off. I got the new illuninated roku remote hoping that might fix it. Haven't tried it yet. As you say, ALL the other suggestions don't work. Sux.
I'm having the same issue on the brand new roku I just bought for my parents
Try re-pairing the remote to the Roku. You could also try unplugging the power to the Roku for 30 to 60 seconds and see if that helps. Or as a last report, factory reset.
