Tried the steps to resolve this issue. Everything was working last night. I have wifi connection with my phone so that's not it. This is the first time in all the years I've had my Roku I've seen this. Very frustrating as no TV at all now. My TV is a Magnavox non smart tv.
My roku I'm using is the roku 3, so not sure if that is the problem. I tried a different hd setting also and that doesn't work.

The Roku 3 (both versions) were exceptionally good streaming players. However (you knew that was coming!) your 4200 is now over 11 years old. The odds of an internal issue is going higher all the time. Your Roku doesn't support 4K, HDR, and several other newer technologies. You've gotten a long life out of that player, but odds are good that Roku will discontinue supporting that generation of players soon. In fact, some from that generation have already lost support, and there's going to be some apps/channels that simply won't work on it. It's time for an upgrade.
