Problems with streaming netflix

I have a Roku Ultra, when I try to stream  anything on netflix it stops downloading at 20 percent.  it stays at 20 and just keeps spinning.

Re: Problems with streaming netflix

Hi @jerrywp1955,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We're happy to assist you with your problem on Netflix. In some cases, removing the channel and then reinstalling it may help. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press the Star button to open the options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
  2. Restart your Roku device: Restart your device from Settings > System > Power > System restart (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
  3. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.

Let us know if this works for you!
Best regards,
Eunice

Nope this didn't work.  I also tried a factory reset after I tried deleting the apps and that didn't work.

Re: Problems with streaming netflix

Hi @jerrywp1955,

Thank you for keeping us updated!

Have you attempted to restart your internet connection? Are you receiving any error messages when trying to access Netflix? Additionally, do you have access to cellular data? We could connect your device to your hotspot and see if the problem remains.

Please keep us posted!

Thanks,

Anjelie

Re: Problems with streaming netflix

I have 3 Ruko devices, 1 Ruko TV and 2 Ultras.  I only am having problems with the 1 ultra.  I tried taking that Ultra to a different TV and the problem goes with the device, so it's not a wifi or internet problem.  Is my only recourse to buy a new unit?  I may be switching to a fire stick if that is the case!
