I’ve seen multiple posts on this. My premiere constantly puts a message on screen saying the device is overheating. The device is out in the open, all suggestions for this issue do not fix the problem. Seems to be a common known issue. Is Roku doing anything to replace these? My unit is only about a month old. I did not purchase it through “Roku.com”.
Thanks for any help/info.

Thanks for the response.
Roku Premiere model 3920x s/n JF432P220303
The overheating message was happening while using the MAX Channel. It may have happened using Hulu channel, but I would have to retry to monitor that.
I unplugged power, let it cool, and tried again. The device is not in a cabinet, or behind tv, etc. It is in an open space. It continues to display the overheating message when in use.
live disconnected it and will no longer use it.
Hi @fmcenneny,
Thanks for keeping us posted.
Kindly be informed that the release date of the Roku Premiere was way back the year of 2016. Channel providers have developed their channels on the Roku platform with more updated features for a better streaming experience that older Roku streaming devices might not handle. The newer Roku streaming devices are more updated and best fit for today's streaming experience.
Wishing you the best,
Kash
Yes… I bought this “premiere” about a month ago. We were about to move, I needed another Roku and was attracted by the end cap display and price. My first Roku was a premiere, maybe premiere plus, bought probably in 2016/2017 and has been our main streaming device all these years. Still in use! That is the larger form factor sized device. This little one probably shouldn’t have been called Premiere. 😁
I bought the Roku Ultra today.
Beware… new Roku Premiere is really more likely the least capable of the lineup.
