My Roku Premier is less than 1 year old and will not power on. I have tried resetting, using different outlets, trying it on another tv, switching out the cords. It’s as if it’s completely dead.
Has anyone experienced this? Or have tips I could try??
There is no power switch for any Roku player. If they are connected to a working power source, they are on. Do you see the dancing Roku logo on the screen when you first connect the power? If not, then it's either the power supply or the Roku itself. It sounds like you have eliminated the power supply as the issue, so yes it does sound like the Roku had failed.
You did not provide the model number of your Roku Premiere, but even if it's the latest version it's still over five years old (3920 released in Sep 2019). If that is not your model number, then your Premiere is even older. Even if you purchased it recently, it was still old stock. I still have a 3920 which works OK, but its performance compared to a newer player is significantly worse, plus it doesn't support 5 GHz WiFi so it's not capable of as fast a network connection as the players with dual band radios.
If the device listed in your sig line is accurate (4620), that player was released in Oct 2016, so over eight years old. That one does have dual band WiFi, but it's even a lower performance model than the 3920.
So what do I do if it keeps flashing does it not work or does it
@Popweed you didn't provide any information, so we have no idea what your issue is. What model Roku? Do you see the dancing Roku logo when you power it up?
