PlayStation 3 not being recognized

I plugged in my PS3 to my new Roku HDTV's HDMI port but it refuses to recognize a signal, that when I plug it into an older TV the signal is coming through fine. How do I get the system to recognize it?

Re: PlayStation 3 not being recognized

Hello! @HDN_ORCH,

Thank you for reaching out to the Roku Community!

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble connecting your PS3 to your new Roku TV. We are happy to help.

  • Have you looked at the settings on your device?
  • Have you tried switching ports?

In the meantime, please check these troubleshooting steps:

1. CEC steps:

a. Press Home on your Roku remote.

b. Scroll and select Settings.

    c. Select System

d. Select Control other devices (CEC).

e. Scroll and highlight the System audio control.

f. Check the box to enable System audio control.

g. Highlight 1-touch play

h. Check the box to enable 1-touch play.

2. ARC steps:

  • Perform Roku TV CEC steps A through D.
  • Scroll and highlight the ARC.
  • Check the box to enable ARC.

Check if the external device works in all aspects. Try restarting the TV, then trying the steps again if they don't work. Try using different HDMI and USB cables.

Please keep us posted on what you find out; we will happily continue assisting you further. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks,

Arjiemar
