I have my Ultra running thru a Denon amp utilizing HDMI arc. I had an Apple pod that constantly gave me issues. I bought a Roku ultra and it is not without problems. It constantly has issues by dropping off using Spectrum, Netflix or any other app.
A very annoying feature is that it does not have surround sound with Spectrum, but does have surround with Netflix and Prime. As bad as the Apple device was it did have surround with all apps.
I am at a loss as to what is going on.

We see that you're having trouble using the surround sound feature on your Spectrum TV app with your Roku Ultra, and we'd like to assist you.
If this is the only app experiencing problems, we recommend contacting Spectrum TV app support for further assistance. They can provide troubleshooting steps specific to the app, as they manage and maintain their own channels.
In the meantime, you may visit this support article: How to set up your Roku® streaming player for surround sound.
We hope that everything will be sorted out soon for you.
All the best,
Emman

The problem is with the Spectrum app, not your Roku. The Spectrum App only supports stereo.
