Netflix wrote the app assuming that the kernel works correctly. This means that Roku can claim the problems are Netflix's fault (because they wrote the app) and Netflix can claim it's Roku's fault (because of issues with the kernel). To fix the problem will require Roku and Netflix to work together. Telling customers to contact the other company will never fix the problem.
