Discovery+, but now Paramount+ has channel playback issue

My 40" Hisense Roku TV has started doing this too. It began with Discovery+, but now Paramount+ has started doing the same thing. I'm trying to watch a show when suddenly the screen freezes and the next thing I know I'm looking at the home screen. I pay for those two channels and right now your TV is blocking my viewing of them. I especially depend upon Paramount because of CBS NFL games - issues with my antenna, so streaming them through Paramount clears that up. Almost every prime time TV show that I watch is on Paramount. I'm beginning to regret even buying this TV - I've only had it since April 2024.

We recommend starting here to troubleshoot channel issues; follow these steps in order:

  • Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the * key on your remote, and choose 'Remove channel.'
  • Next, restart your device from Settings>System>Power>System restart (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
  • After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.

Additionally, we suggest checking for updates: go to Settings > System > Software Update > Check now.
