Curser will not stay on desired movie

Jump to solution

My curser won't go to the desired movie I pick...it skips forward 3 movies and in trying to return to the one I want, it goes back 2-3 movies (not the one I have chosen. Also, in scrolling down the rows it does the same thing. Consequently, I can never get to the movie I want.....

Anyone else having this problem????

Hi @Rosie-Magee,

Greetings and welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand that you're having issues with skipping options while choosing a move. We would want to know more about how we can help. Is this issue happening to a particular channel, or are other channels affected? Also, when did you first notice this issue occur?

In the meantime, you can perform a system restart to resolve the issue. To do this, navigate to Settings > System > System Restart. After this, kindly check to see if you notice any difference.

Please let us know how it works.

All the best,
Kash

@Rosie-Magee-

You may have received an update to your Roku software, and you just need to restart your Roku. [Note: If you have a Roku TV with "Fast TV Start" enabled, turning it off/on just puts it in/out of a standby mode and does not give you a full restart.]

[@RokuTakashi - Please note not all Rokus have the System restart option in the same place in their menu path.]

Depending on your Roku model you'll find the "System restart" option under "Settings > System > Power" or if you don't have a "Power" option, under "Settings > System".

If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and waiting for it to restart.
