Apps load but will not stream content

A couple of days ago, I stopped being able to watch anything on Disney+ or Prime Video.  The app loads fine, and I can browse through shows, select episodes etc, but when I try to launch any show, I get an error message saying"something went wrong--please try again later".

Re: Apps load but will not stream content

Hi, @tjk55

Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.

We understand the issue you have encountered with your Roku device regarding apps that will not stream content, and we're here to help. We recommend performing the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issues with the apps you're accessing.

  1. Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the star (*) key on your remote, and choose "Remove channel".
  2. Next, restart your device from Settings > System > Power > System Restart (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
  3. Once your player/TV starts up again, go to "Streaming Store" on the Home screen, and add the channel back once more.
  4. You may also refer to this link: How to resolve a channel playback issue | Official Roku Support

Once this has been performed, kindly access the apps once more to see any improvements.

We hope this works!

Best wishes,
Kash
