Granted this is a pain in the backside, but there is a solution. As others have said, change the name of the input “live tv” to something else (I changed mine to antenna). Then in settings change startup to last used. Then rescan channels, click on a channel, and go ahead and shut the tv off . When you turn it on next time it should go directly to that channel.
