I noticed very heavy pixilation on the Roku channel tonight. I checked several others, including Amazon, and the same this is happening on them.
Using a 4 year old Streaming Stick +
Any idea what I can do?
Generally, if all the HDMI ports are having an issue, there is usually an issue with one of the boards inside the TV. (hardware issue).
Unfortunately, unless you perform the repairs yourself (replace the defective board), usually cheaper to just purchase a new TV.
This is also happening on the screen saver
Try performing a System Restart on the Roku device (Settings/System/System Restart) and also restarting your router and modem.
Roku restart didn't work. I'll try the router.
Tried both, no good.
Try unplugging your Streaming Stick for a bit, at least 5-10 minutes. (let it cool down and take notice it if seems to be "overly" hot).
If seems to work better after a cool-down period, you may want to get a extender cable to get it away from the heat of the television. Roku offers a free one, but you can get a longer one at any walmart, target, best buy etc. (it is just a hmdi cable with a female and male end).
If the cooldown doesn't work, you could try a Factory Reset. (press and hold the reset button for 30+ seconds). **Just make sure you have a working physical Roku remote before performing a Factory Reset.
If you perform the factory reset, you will have to set up the stick like it was new (just use the same email address you initially did) and then you will likely need to login to all your subscriptions again. Basically, used as a last resort.

Prior to doing the cooldown and/or factory reset, go to Settings/Network/Check Connection and see what your "internet download speed" is reporting. If you have a mobile hotspot available to you, I would also try connecting to it instead of your router and see if that makes a difference. If not, then can rule out a network issue and kind of narrowing it down to a device issue.
I unplugged it as soon as I saw this. The tv had been of for an hour or so, and the stick was cold by then.
I'll see what happens tomorrow.
*le sigh* I've tried everything suggested so far, and there's been no improvement.
The last two things I would try then is to place the Streaming Stick into another HDMI port on the TV and try using a power adapter at the wall if you are currently using the TV USB for power. (any 5volt, 1amp cell phone charging adapter should work).
If the above still doesn't work, I would start to think that the device is failing/failed.
I would try the Streaming Stick on another TV if possible to positively determine a bad device rather than some hardware issue at the TV itself.
Tried everything suggested. No luck. So, we went and bought a new device.
And had the same problem. At about this point, Herself sez "Let's try it on the other tv."
The old stick works perfectly on it.
I'm pretty sure the living room tv is going kaput. It's only 14 years old...
