After the most recent upgrade, my streams are not playing in DD+ anymore. It's because the receiver isn't detecting the correct audio passthrough from Roku. I've already checked my Audio settings several times, still no luck. Has Roku just broken this with the recent upgrade?
Hi @Kcheema23
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Please provide us with the following information for further investigation:
-Roku device model
-Serial number
-Device ID
-Software OS/version
(these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-Does this issue occur on a specific channel? If so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-Steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
Once we have the information needed, we'll be able to forward it to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.
All the best,
Kariza
Hi, I have the same 5.1 passthrough issue with Roku!
[Please provide us with the following information for further investigation:]
Where and how do you want me to send the info?
Here's the info requested:
Roku device model: 4630X-Roku Premiere +
-Serial number: YR0024414445
-Device ID: 7KA692414445
-Software OS/version: 10.5.0 build 4208-29
Tracker ID: 45-494-132
The issue occurs with multiple channels; Netflix, Plex, Prime video, etc. None of these are playing DD+ like they used to.
I tried testing another media player and that works properly so the issue is definitely with Roku. Please advise on how to resolve this.
Try this it worked for me....
PROBLEM FIXED!!!!!
So it appear it's an old issue. Having leveling turned on causes my 4670X ultra to go audio brain-dead and only output Stereo PCM Sound!!!!
But here is the trick. Just changing the audio option to 'OFF' from Leveling or Night does not immediately fix the issue. Something must be set within the unit and stays set.
Performing a Reset after changing the Audio Option to 'Off" fixed everything! DD, DD+, Atmos, all now being sent to my AVR where support by the stream.
Same exact issue!
Roku TV 5112X
TCL Model 48FS3700
Serial 2N00AE220717
Software Version 10.5.0 - Build 4210-08
I don't see any options for "leveling" or "Night" in any audio settings. Where would I find this?
@StevenCee it depends which device you have. While streaming press the * button on the remote.
Thanks, but as I stated, there is no "Leveling" anywhere in the Sound settings, nor is there one called Sound Modes. I have a 55" TCL Roku TV...
