Roku setup

I am mounting a samsung tv on a wall, and want to place my modem and roku ultra in the closet behind the wall behind the tv. does the remote need access to the roku ultra, or does it talk" to the tv itself? Roku Ultra (4800 series)

The Ultra comes with an RF remote, so it doesn't need line-of-sight. It should generally work through most walls, unless there is steel or wire mesh blocking RF signals.
