I am having this same problem. I have tried a factory reset several times and tried several different email addresses but it continues to say 'We can't seem to reach you by email'

Brand new Hisense Roku TV. Same issue. Can’t get past this to be able to use the TV.
When putting your email in, do NOT enter in the "@gmail.com" or "@yahoo.com" in the same space. Only put in the first part of your email, then arrow to the right and there will be a pull-down menu with the @Gmail.com, @yahoo.com,etc. Select yours from the pull down pick list and it goes through and you're up and running.
Took me hours too before I stumbled on it.
