Roku setup

Setting up my Roku.  Power button and volume controls do not work.  All other controls seem to work.  Voice control, channel selection. etc...  Help

We're more than happy to assist you with your remote. Please try these steps:

1. Navigate to Settings.
2. Select Remotes and Devices.
3. Select Remotes, followed by your remote.
4. Select Set up the remote for TV control.

After doing so, please try to restart the system by pressing the Home button on your remote, then go to Settings, System, Power (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step), and System Restart. You can also check out this link here for reasons why your Roku remote is not controlling the power and volume on the TV.

The power, volume, and mute buttons on WiFi-Direct Roku remotes are for controlling the TV, not your Roku.  They send the appropriate signals to your TV via line of sight infrared (IR) signals. Different TVs have different sets of IR codes they accept, so you have to set up the remote to send the correct code set for YOUR TV.

Roku menu path:
"Settings -> Remotes & devices > Remotes"
At this point if your remote has already been setup for a TV but you need to reset it, arrow down to select your Remote (in use).
Now select "Set up remote for TV control" .. And follow the prompts
