on one TV (no sound bar) with a roku ultra 4801rw connected the sound will not work. At launch the HD app displays a popup after 'discovering devices' wheel turning icon a message: "This Roku device does not support AC3 audio required to play this channel/recording. Roku devices such as the Roku Ultra support AC3 audio" (ok button). What am I doing wrong?
The HD app plays audio fine on my Chromecast TV dongle, and 4k firestick without a problem.
Edit: note that using the arrow keys on the HD app (just video showing) I can hear the roku click effect as I change channels, etc.
Try playing with the Roku settings under Settings->Audio. Also, if you're using any of the "Volume leveling" modes, set it to off. If you can't get to the video playback within the HDHomerun app, you'll have to start a video on another app and then press * on your remote to get to the "Volume leveling" options. Once you set it within one app it's set for all of them.
