Roku setup

I have followed all the setup instructions and my Roku express device is stuck on the email activation link screen. I have set up a Roku account and all I need to do now is enter the activation code, but it isn't being displayed on my TV....just stuck on the activation email link screen. I have tried everything to resolve this......off then on, reset the device and even performed a factory reset using the little reset button on the back of the Roku receiver.......NOTHING WORKS

No code appears on screen anymore, you put in the email address, wait for an email to show up using your computer or cellphone, that's where you finish activating the Roku. On the computer or cellphone, not the Roku itself.
