HMDI connection isn’t working. Says connection lost

I have tried to set up my roku express- everything is hooked up and plugged in properly but it says HDMI connection lost. I’ve tried all 3 ports and I can’t get it to come up

When that message appears, try hitting the "Home" button.  That works for me when I receive a "no signal" message using HMDI.
